New D&D Converse Shoes & Shirts Released for 50th Anniversary

This year marks the 50th anniversary Dungeons & Dragons and to celebrate the event, Wizards of the Coast has been partnering with a variety of different brands and rolling out a ton of new products. This includes everything from DnD Hawaiian shirts and limited edition DnD stamps to the first official DnD LEGO set.

Wizards of the Coast has also recently unveiled a collaboration on a new line of DnD Converse shoes and shirts that combine the recognizable style of the apparel brand with old school DnD iconography.

So will these new Chucks add any bonuses to your Stealth checks? Below we break out all the details and take a closer look at the full product line.

What are the D&D Converse Shoes & Shirts?

The new line of Converse apparel is being released to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Dungeons & Dragon and features artwork provided by the Wizards of the Coast team from their archives. This includes everything from the familiar D&D ampersand, to cover art from the original 1978 Player’s Handbook. The product line will feature over a dozen different shoes, along with a handful of t-shirts, hats and shorts.

Each pair of shoes will retail for around $80 USD, while the shirts and hats retail for around $35 USD, and the shorts come in at $60 USD. All of the items can be purchased online from Converse or through various brick and mortar retailers (although they are limited edition, so may sell out relatively quickly).

Notably, the full product line will not be available for order starting on April 11th, 2024, and you can sign up on the Converse website to get notified of the release and to learn more about the various items.

Final Thoughts

After a fairly quiet start to 2024, Wizards of the Coast has been going full steam with plans for the 50th anniversary and rolling out a number of new product collaborations that tie in to the ongoing celebrations. And while Hawaiian t-shirts and postage stamps might not exactly be at the top of D&D fans’ list, these Converse products do actually look pretty solid and are legitimately something we could see fans wanting to pick up.

We’ll be keeping an eye on this story in the days ahead and update with new information as it’s made available.

Cameron Nichols is a Senior Editor who lives in Boston, Massachusetts, and has been playing D&D since the early 90s, when he was introduced by his older brother and cut his teeth on AD&D 2nd Edition. Since then he’s played virtually every RPG he could get his nerdy little mitts on (including a weird Goth phase in the early 2000s when he rocked Vampire: The Masquerade pretty hard). His favorite D&D campaign setting is the Forgotten Realms and his favorite character to play was a Half-Orc Barbarian named Grug (who was unfortunately devoured by a gelatinous cube).
