If you’re a D&D fan who hoards dice like a D20-loving dragon, then chances are you’re going to dig Beadle and Grimm’s new dice sets, which offer up a heaping dose of polyhedral nostalgia as part of Wizards of the Coast’s ongoing 50th anniversary D&D celebration.
Each of the six limited-editions dice sets is based on a classic D&D adventure module and features dice and other bonus collectors materials. Slated for release in October 2024, you can pre-order yours now through the Beadle & Grimm’s website.
So just what else is included in these limited edition dice sets? Below, we take a closer look and roll up all the details.
What are the New Beadle & Grimm Classic D&D Dice Sets?
Beadle & Grimm’s D&D Classic Module Dice consist of six sets, each of which comes in a felt-lined box that includes seven resign dice, four collector cards and a commemorative coin. Notably, each set is themed around one of the following modules from various editions of the game and includes custom artwork and lore:
- Expedition to the Barrier Peaks
- Ravenloft
- Temple of Elemental Evil
- Tomb of Horrors
- Vecna Lives!
- White Plume Mountain
Notably, many of these adventures have been featured in more recent DnD 5e collections, including Quests from the Infinite Staircase.
How Much Are the New Beadle & Grimm’s Dice?
The collectible sets are available for pre-order as a complete collection of all six boxes for a discounted price of $225 until August 11, 2024, or while supplies last. Afterward, individual boxes will be available in October 2024, retailing at $45 each. Alternatively, the full set can be purchased post-release for $270.
When Will the New Beadle & Grimm’s Dice Be Released?
Pre-orders for the full set are open now, and the collections are expected to ship in October 2024. As noted above, however, they are limited edition, so it’s possible they may sell out as a pre-order.
Final Thoughts
As part of the 50th anniversary of D&D, Wizards of the Coast has been partnering with a ton of different brands, with everything from D&D Converse sneakers to D&D Hawaiian shirts. These new box sets, however, definitely look like they set a new bar in terms of capturing the old school vibes of D&D while offering a solid mix of high-end dice and collectibles.
We’ll try and get our hands on a set for a more complete review closer to launch. In the meantime, you can pre-order yours now through the Beadle & Grimm’s website.
