New High-Level Legends of Greyhawk Adventures Land on D&D Beyond

Article Summary

  • A new Legends of Greyhawk play bundle called Dreams of the Chained God has been released on D&D Beyond.
  • The adventures are designed by Baldman Games and have been run at organized play events over the past year.
  • The bundle consists of three adventures for Level 5-10 characters that can be run individually or as a campaign.
  • The bundle retails for $19.99 USD and includes10 maps that can be used with the D&D Beyond Maps VTT.

It’s been a busy few weeks for the world of Greyhawk, with Wizards of the Coast announcing a number of new Oerth-centric projects, including the upcoming Crown of the Witch Queen campaign and new game material courtesy of Luke Gygax and the D&D Icons line.

If that wasn’t enough, yet another product has arrived on D&D Beyond as part of the Legends of Greyhawk organized play program. Entitled Dreams of the Chained God, this digital collection includes three adventures for Level 5-10 characters set in and around the Free City of Greyhawk itself. First developed by Baldman Games with support from Wizards of the Coast, the adventures have been run at multiple conventions and organized play events over the past year. Now, however, you can run them for your own group via D&D Beyond.

The collection is also notable in that all previously released Legends of Greyhawk adventures have been for low level 1 to 3 characters, making Dreams of the Chained God the first to offer a higher tier of play. Below, we take a closer look at what’s included.

What’s included in Legends of Greyhawk: Dreams of the Chained God?

Dreams of the Chained God is a digital play bundle containing three loosely interconnected adventures first developed by Baldman Games and run at in-person Legends of Greyhawk organized play events throughout 2026.

Each adventure is designed for Level 5 to 10 characters and takes 3 to 4 hours to complete. The adventures (which can be run individually or as part of a mini-campaign) are as follows:

  • Whispers Beneath the Cairns: A powerful artifact has fallen into the hands of the Cult of the Black Flame. Players are tasked with infiltrating the cult’s lair in the Cairn Hills and recovering the dangerous magic item before its full power can be unleashed.
  • A Measure of Debt: Taking place in the Free City of Greyhawk, players are asked to repay an old favor and are soon caught up in a deadly web of conspiracy between the infamous Thieves’ Guild and the University of Magical Arts.
  • Architect of Silence: Also taking place in the Free City of Greyhawk, players are tasked with uncovering a local cult, with the trail leading to the dreaded Undercity.

What is Legends of Greyhawk?

Legends of Greyhawk is an official Dungeons & Dragons organized play program run by third-party organizations including Baldman Games and GameConclave, with approval and support from Wizards of the Coast. The program officially launched in the summer of 2025 at Gen Con and uses the new D&D 5.5E rules. The adventures used in the program are primarily designed to be run at conventions, although materials are released to the general public several months afterward.

Adventures are also designed to be interconnected, helping to shape a larger narrative that influences the whole of the modern Greyhawk setting. Any convention attendee can play in a Legends of Greyhawk adventure, so long as they have created a character in D&D Beyond (using the rules from the 2024 D&D 5.5E Player’s Handbook). Players can also earn physical rewards in the form of tradable magic item cards and other certificates at the end of each play session.

Wizards of the Coast has also released a Legends of Greyhawk Guide which provides more information on character creation, including guidelines on which region of Greyhawk your character can come from, how many magic items you can have based on your level, and how trading magic items with other players works. This document is also regularly updated as new official D&D supplements are released.

Wizards of the Coast has also begun to package and release Legends of Greyhawk adventures as digital “play bundles” on D&D Beyond. To date, there have been five digital bundles:

Who is Baldman Games?

Baldman Games is one of the largest official Dungeons & Dragons organized play providers in the world. Operating as an official Partner Organization for Wizards of the Coast, it runs numerous multi-table D&D events at major conventions like Gen Con, Origins and PAX.

Beyond the physical convention floor, Baldman Games also hosts monthly “Virtual D&D Weekends” via Discord and VTT platforms, which are designed for online play.

In addition to managing and organizing D&D convention events, Baldman also designs and publishes official D&D organized play storylines. While it has historically contributed content to the Adventurers League (including the Dreams of the Red Wizards and Moonshae Isles campaigns), they are now one of the primary partner publishers for the new Legends of Greyhawk program.

Final Thoughts

It’s great to see Wizards of the Coast continue to support the Legends of Greyhawk organized play program and bringing the adventures onto D&D Beyond means exposure for a much wider audience.

That being said, it would be great to see WotC draw a little more attention to the program and the adventures, as this play bundle (like previous bundles before it) hasn’t exactly been heavily promoted, with the product quietly released on D&D Beyond with little fanfare.

If you’re interested in running the adventures for yourself, you can pick up the Legends of Greyhawk: Dreams of the Chained God now on D&D Beyond.
