“Heliana’s Guide to Monster Hunting: Part Two” Lands On D&D Beyond

Heliana’s Guide to Monster Hunting is heading back to D&D Beyond with the second instalment of the popular third-party sourcebook now available on D&D Beyond. First created in 2022 by Loot Tavern and later published by Hit Point Press after a hugely successful Kickstarter, the original book featured a ton of new player character options, including new subclasses, species and backgrounds.

Notably, part one was released on D&D Beyond back in March of 2025, so this final instalments round out the material with even more DM and player-facing content. Below, we take a closer look at what’s included.

What’s included in “Heliana’s Guide to Monster Hunting: Part Two” on D&D Beyond?

As noted previously, the original Heliana’s Guide to Monster Hunting book has been split into two parts on D&D Beyond. Part Two contains the following:

  • 5 Subclasses (College of Cuisine Bard, Hunt Domain Cleric, Trapper Ranger, Skinshifter Sorcerer and Parasite Patron Warlock.)
  • 5 playable Species (the salamander-like Lotol, the corpse-reanimating Mycelian, the shadowy Ombrask, the gelatinous Oozekin, and the moth-like Opteran).
  • 53 Monsters for use with D&D Beyond Encounters
  • 84 Magic Items
  • 63 spells
  • 5 adventures

It’s important to note the book does NOT use the new D&D 2024 rules (which were recently reclassified as D&D 5.5e by Wizards of the Coast). That being said, it is completely compatible.

Final Thoughts

Heliana’s Guide to Monster Hunting is an absolutely stellar third-party D&D 5E product. In fact, it’s spawned a series of other books featuring Heliana, including most recently a new Kickstarter collaboration with DnD shorts. This final instalment on D&D Beyond, however, is likely going to introduce Heliana to an even wider audience.

You can pick up Part Two now on D&D Beyond or grab the bundle which contains both parts at a discounted rate.
