Back in September 2024, we took a first look at Frontiers of Eberron: Quickstone, a DMsGuild-exclusive sourcebook written by Eberron creator Keith Baker and released under a third-party license from publisher Visionary Production & Design. The book is set in the lawless frontier between the kingdom of Breland and the nation Droaam, and thematically is very much inspired by the Wild West, complete with steampunk steeds and wand duels at high noon.
Now, Frontiers of Eberron: Quickstone has made its way to D&D Beyond, marking yet another major third-party product to appear on the digital platform.
Below, we saddle up and ride down all the details.

What’s included in “Frontiers of Eberron: Quickstone” on D&D Beyond?
The digital version is essentially an exact reprint of the DMsGuild print and PDF versions, all updated for the D&D 5.5E 2024 rules. It includes:
New Subclasses
There are 6 new subclasses, one for each of the following classes:
- Barbarian: Path of the Demonshard: Channels the fiendish power of an embedded shard of demonglass.
- Bard: College of Wands: A dueling spellcaster who blends showmanship with arcane firepower.
- Cleric: Commerce Domain: A follower of Kol Korran who wields divine coins as a source of power.
- Ranger: Bloodhound: A bounty hunter who tracks marked prey across vast distances.
- Sorcerer: Nemesis Sorcery: Built around the precision and misdirection of the arcane duel.
- Warlock: Stone Sovereign Patron: Draws power from Droaam’s earthen forces, including the daelkyr Orlassk.
New Species & Backgrounds
The book introduces 7 new species: the Gargoyle, Gnoll, Harpy, Medusa, Tiefling (with new Eberron-specific fiendish legacies), Warforged, and Worg.
It also includes 5 new backgrounds: Dragonmarked Bravo, Dragonmarked Foundling, Dragonmarked Scion, Magewright and Wandslinger. Three of those backgrounds grant a new Lesser Dragonmark feat, giving dragonmarked characters a fresh set of mechanics to replace the older approach used in Eberron: Rising from the Last War.

New Feats
There are 15 new feats, including species-specific options like Stone Eyes and Shadow’s Gift of Stone for Medusas, Voice of the Fury for Harpies, and Wings of Stone and Hewn for Battle for Gargoyles. Others are open to any character, such as the Wandslinger fighting style feat and a trio of arcane-focus specializations (Staff Expert, Wand Expert, and Rod Expert), plus five feats tied to Eberron’s druidic orders: the Ashbound, Gatekeepers, Greensingers, Wardens of the Wood and Children of Winter.
New Spells & Magic Items
The book introduces 3 new spells, including the petrifying Gray Gaze cantrip and the short-range teleport Orien Step, alongside a batch of classic spells reprinted for the setting. It also adds over 35 magic items split across Frontier Magic Items, Fiendish Treasures, Daelkyr Symbionts and Treasures of Droaam, including the artifact-level Kharash’s Promise and Orlassk’s Reach.

New Monsters
There are 25 new monsters, including the cult leader Breggan Blackcrown, the daelkyr Orlassk, Demonglass Warriors, the fey lord King Grayfinger, the mysterious Merchant of Misthaven, and the dreadful Overlord Tol Kharash, the Horned King.
Heart of Stone Adventure & Arcane Duels
The book also includes “Heart of Stone,” a four-part adventure path by designer Imogen Gingell that takes characters from 1st to 5th level as they investigate a cult operating out of Quickstone. In addition, there are new rules for Arcane Duels so characters can face down rivals at high noon.

How Much is “Frontiers of Eberron: Quickstone” on D&D Beyond?
The digital edition retails for $39.99 USD on D&D Beyond, published under the Visionary Production and Design label. That’s a fairly big step up from the $33.95 PDF which you can currently pick up on DMsGuild.
What you’re really paying for, however is the ability to integrate all of the features directly into the D&D Beyond character builder and Maps VTT.

Final Thoughts
If you already picked up a copy of Frontiers of Eberron: Quickstone through DMsGuild, there’s probably not much incentive to double-dip on this D&D Beyond release. If you don’t already own it, however, and are a fan of Eberron and an avid D&D Beyond user, it’s definitely worth snagging.
Notably, Keith Baker has said that Quickstone is the last Eberron book he’ll likely ever work on, but the setting itself isn’t going anywhere. At Gen Con 2026, Wizards of the Coast announced that Visionary Production & Design (the studio behind Quickstone) is moving from third-party publisher to an official second-party partner for Eberron. They’ll be producing a new adventure featuring the Lord of Blades slated for 2028, although it’s not yet confirmed whether Baker himself will be involved in that project.
In the meantime, you can pick up Frontiers of Eberron: Quickstone now on D&D Beyond or snag the PDF and print-on-demand version from DMsGuild.
