New D&D Star Wars Adventure Supplement Revealed at NYCC

Huge news from a galaxy far, far away. During the Disney and Lucasfilm publishing panel at this year’s New York Comic Con, Wizards of the Coast revealed new details and exclusive art for its upcoming D&D Star Wars crossover, which was first announced in July at Gen Con 2026.

Fans will be getting both a new D&D Star Wars Core Rulebook along with an upcoming supplement officially entitled Tyro Squadron: Adventures. The two products will be a major part of the new D&D Universes Beyond line, which features tabletop RPG products based on popular entertainment IPs.

What is D&D Star Wars: Tyro Squadron Adventures about?

So far, details are fairly light on what the adventure will consist of. In an official press release from Wizards of the Coast, they note: “In D&D | Star Wars, Tyro Squadron: Adventures, take the fight to the Empire as part of a secret Rebel crew. Set during the Original Trilogy, these new stories unfold as Luke and Leia fight their own battles across the galaxy. Fly daring missions, explore new corners of the galaxy, and help shape the Rebellion’s story—your way.”

When is D&D Star Wars Tyro Squadron Adventures coming out?

The new adventure book, alongside the companion D&D Star Wars Core Rules, will arrive sometime in 2027. Additional details are being kept under wraps for now, but Wizards of the Coast has confirmed that fans will get a more detailed preview during Star Wars Celebration in April 2027.

How much is Star Wars Tyro Squadron Adventures?

Official pricing and retail details for both Tyro Squadron: Adventures and the D&D Star Wars Core Rules have not yet been finalized or formally announced by Wizards of the Coast. It’s also not clear what formats it will be available in, although a hardcover and digital version on D&D Beyond seems likely.

Final Thoughts

Seeing Dungeons & Dragons officially cross over into the Star Wars universe feels like a major milestone for both brands. It remains to be seen, however, if the Force is strong with this new collaboration.
