D&D LEGO Sets Now Open For Fan Voting

*** UPDATE ON JAN. 5TH: A D&D LEGO winner has been announced! ***

For years, fans have been dreaming of a D&D LEGO set. Now it looks like that dream is one step closer to becoming a reality thanks to a contest run in collaboration between LEGO and Wizards of the Coast.

The contest actually kicked off earlier this year, with LEGO opening it up to anyone who wanted to submit their own unique idea for a Dungeons & Dragons LEGO set. The end result was over 620 submissions, which the team then spent several months pouring over.

Now, LEGO has whittled it down to just five entries and opened it up to fans of both D&D and LEGO to cast their vote for the winner.

Below are the final five entries.

1. The Monster Manual by KolonelPure

The fan-made D&D LEGO set entitled "The Monster Manual" one of the entries in Dungeons & Dragons' 50th anniversary contest.

A LEGO version of the epic Monster Manual unleashes some of Dungeons and Dragons greatest foes, including:

  • A Demogorgon
  • Xanathar the Beholder
  • Strahd von Zarovich
  • Iggwilv the Witch Queen
  • A Mimic
  • A Gelatinous Cube
  • A Red Dragon

Fans will be able to display all of the monsters together or play with them separately. As an added bonus, all models are scaled to be usable in actual D&D games.

  2. Xanathar the Beholder by ShaddowToa

The fan-made D&D LEGO set entitled "Xanathar the Beholder" one of the entries in Dungeons & Dragons' 50th anniversary contest.

The iconic D&D villain is given the LEGO treatment in this unique entry. The figure comes with a desk and a bookshelf and can actually be incorporated into your Dungeons & Dragons play as a model.

Features include

  • A gear on Xanathar’s back that can make his eye move from left to right
  • Articulated jaw and eye stalks and a removable display stand
  • A dice storage area in the desk, which can also be removed for easy transport
  • The bookshelf doubles as a dice tower

 3. Transforming Mimic by FarmFarm

The fan-made D&D LEGO set entitled "The Mimic" one of the entries in Dungeons & Dragons 50th anniversary contest.

This LEGO D&D entry brings to life one of the game’s most iconic monsters: the Mimic! Using an inspired design you can display the figure as a simple treasure chest or transform it into a face-devouring creature. It also includes:

  • Three hinged sections (two in the lower chest and one in the lid)
  • A hinged bottom panel to allow room for the lower teeth to flip.
  • A changeable sign that includes the monster’s stat block
  • Over 2,100 pieces along with one printed tile for the display sign.

4. Tiamat’s Dice Tower by TCompton1234

The fan-made D&D LEGO set entitled "Tiamat's Dice Tower" one of the entries in Dungeons & Dragons' 50th anniversary contest.

Designed for play in actual RPG games, this LEGO D&D entry features a working dice tower, removable stands for minifigs that are compatible with standard 1-inch grids, and space to store two full sets of dice on each side of the tray. Also included is a way to mount Tiamat to the rear of the tower and a customized stained glass print.

Harkening back to Dungeons and Dragons’ formation, the adventuring team is composed of a Dwarven Fighter, a Human Cleric, a Halfling Rogue and an Elvish Wizard.

 5. Dragon’s Keep: Journey’s End by BoltBuilds

The fan-made D&D LEGO set entitled "Dragon's Keep: Journey's End" one of the entries in Dungeons & Dragons' 50th anniversary contest.
