Article Summary

  • D&D Beyond has officially released Misplaced Monsters: Volume Two, which features eight new creatures based on drawings originally created by kids.
  • Each monster includes a stat block for D&D 5.5E along with new full-color artwork from the D&D design team.
  • The supplement is published in partnership with Extra Life, with 100% of proceeds going to the Seattle Children’s Hospital.
  • The digital supplement retails for $7.95 USD on D&D Beyond or you can pick up the Volume One & Two bundle for $11.95 USD.

Back in May 2023, Wizards of the Coast released Misplaced Monsters: Volume One, a D&D Beyond exclusive featuring six new creatures based on hilariously adorable drawings from young children. In addition to the unique material, the supplement was also a first in that all proceeds went directly to charity.

Now, we finally have a sequel in the form of Misplaced Monsters: Volume Two. Produced in partnership with Extra Life, the supplement features eight new monsters, each of which includes a D&D 5.5E-compatible stat block and original art. Best of all, 100% of the proceeds go directly to the Seattle Children’s Hospital to support mental and behavioral healthcare programs. You can pick up the supplement now on D&D Beyond.

Below, we take a closer look at what to expect in this unique mashup of crayons and crits.

What’s included in Misplaced Monsters: Volume Two?

The book includes 8 brand-new monsters and 1 magic item, complete with digital tokens that can be used in the D&D Beyond Maps VTT. Each monster gets their own D&D 5.5E stat block and original artwork which was commissioned specifically for the project.

All of the monsters are also based on original drawings provided to Wizards of the Coast by kids through a submission program.

What is the Seattle Children’s Hospital?

Seattle Children’s is a premier pediatric healthcare system based in Seattle, Washington, which provides care for children and their families, as well as being a major center for pediatric research.
