What is Lords of Waterdeep?

Lords of Waterdeep is a strategic worker placement board game for 2 to 5 players set in the city of Waterdeep in the popular D&D campaign setting of the Forgotten Realms. Players take on the role of one the city’s powerful Masked Lords, each secretly competing for control of the city by recruiting adventurers and sending them on quests for rewards and victory points. Each round, players place their agents on various locations around the city to gain resources. They can also purchase buildings that provide new action spaces, victory points and potential income. Intrigue cards also add a layer of strategy, allowing players to hinder opponents or gain advantages. The game lasts eight rounds and the player with the most victory points at the end wins.

Lords of Waterdeep was first published by Wizards of the Coast in 2012 and designed by Peter Lee and Rodney Thompson. The game quickly grew in popularity among both casual and hard core board game players. In 2013, Wizards of the Coast launched the expansion Scoundrels of Skullport, adding several new mechanics, with the materials set in the dungeons of Undermountain and the subterranean criminal haven of Skullport.

While new copies of Scoundrels of Skullport are still available, the core Lords of Waterdeep game has been out of print for several years, with copies really only available on eBay and the secondary market. With Renegade Game Studios taking over the license, new copies will be made available and widely distributed.

How much is the Lords of Waterdeep reprint?
