FanRoll Releases New “Orb of Possibility” D&D Dice Roller

Any Dungeons & Dragons player worth their d20 collection knows you can never have too many dice. And over the years, there have also been a ton of accessories to go along with them, including an elaborate range of dice trays, towers and bags.

FanRoll’s new “Orb of Possibility” D&D dice roller, however, is on a whole other level, letting you huck your math rocks in style with the touch of a button. You can pick it up now from your local game store, FanRoll or Amazon.

So is there a possibility you’ll want this automated dice roller? Below, we roll out the odds.

What is FanRoll’s “Orb of Possibility” dice roller?

The Orb of Possibility is a battery-powered, automatic dice spinner created by FanRoll under the official Dungeons & Dragons brand. At first glance it looks like similar to one of the “pop-o-matic” bubbles that comes with the board game Trouble, but in fact there are a series of small buttons on the side of the device that you press, causing the circular platform inside the orb to rapidly spin. You can vary the duration and intensity of the spin depending on how long you hold down the buttons.

Notably, the Orb also includes red silicone “Super Bounce” d20, but its removable lid lets you substitute in any type and number of dice (although anymore than 8 dice is pushing your luck and you probably won’t want to use heavier dice made of metal or stone). Batteries are also included, so the Orb is ready to go right out of the box.

How much is FanRoll’s “Orb of Possibility” dice roller?

The Orb retails for $29.99 USD (not including taxes, shipping and handling). That may seem a little on the pricey side, but it’s comparable to some of the higher end dice towers you’ll find on Amazon or Etsy. It’s also not bad considering it serves as both a dice tower and dice tray, includes the official D&D brand and comes with an extra twenty-sided silicone dice.

Final Thoughts

There are a ton of official and unofficial D&D dice towers and dice trays in existence, but there hasn’t really been anything quite like the Orb of Possibility before. And while not everyone is going to be willing to drop $30 on a battery-powered dice roller, if you’re looking to add a little swagger to your skill checks, it might just be possible you’ll want to pick one up.

You can buy the Orb of Possibility now from your local game store, FanRoll or Amazon.
