Sirius Dice Pays Tribute to One of D&D’s Most Iconic Villains

Over the past few years, Sirius Dice has made a name for themselves as a producer of high quality math rocks, launching some of the best DnD dice sets on the market. Now, the company is rolling out a new collection that pays homage to one of D&D’s most infamous figures: the beholder crime lord Xanathar.

The Xanathar Treasure Pack is a new offering that includes a mix of collectibles coins, a storage bag and of course dice, all of which are themed around the multi-eyed monstrosity. You can order them now from you local game store, the Sirius website or Amazon. Below, we take a closer look at everything that’s included.

What’s Included in the Xanathar’s Treasure Packs?

Each Xanathar’s Treasure Pack includes the following:

  • One dice set: This features seven matching dice taken from 53 brand new sets. The dice range in rarity from Common, Uncommon, Rare, Super Rare and Legendary. One of the Legendary sets contains Xanathar trapped within the dice and two are made from natural stone. Notably, in addition to the number faces, the dice also feature a number of unique icons, including a beholder eye stalk and an image of Sylgar, Xanathar’s beloved goldfish.
  • An embroidered dice bag: The bag contains a drawing of Xanathar on the front and come in seven colors.
  • A Waterdeep-inspired coin: These are made from metal and other materials and are recreations of the currency used in the City of Spelndors, as well as featuring iconic monsters and magical powers. You can also potentially find a 24 karat gold-plated Xanathar Coin (with only 50 available worldwide).

Who is Sirius Dice?

Sirius Dice is a Brooklyn based RPG accessory creator founded in 2019 by tech entrepreneur Lax Chandra and business consultant Tina Trenkler. In 2023 the company signed a licensing deal with Wizards of the Coast and has since released a number of products using the official Dungeons & Dragons brand, including cups, pins and dice sets.

Most notably in June of 2024, Sirius collaborated with Wizards of the Coast to release their DnD Pride Month set, with proceeds donated to the Trevor Project, an organization that helps at-risk LGBTQ+ youth.

How much are the Xanathar’s Treasure Packs?

Each Xanathar’s Treasure Pack retails for $19.99 USD (not including taxes, shipping and handling). It’s a solid price point considering that you get an exclusive dice set, custom coins and a dice bag (not to mention the chance to pull a gold-plated Xanathar coin). There’s also the potential to pull some of the rarer dice (including ones made from stone), which are likely going to go for more on the secondary market.

It’s a great gift if you’re thinking of running or playing in Waterdeep: Dragon Heist (which has made it on our list as one of the best DnD campaigns of all time), so there’s a nice little mix of both collectibility and utility.

Final Thoughts

Sirius Dice has been producing some fantastic products over the years and this seems like another solid offering. It’s a fitting tribute to one of Dungeons & Dragons greatest villains (and his trusty goldfish).

You can pick up the Xanathar Treasure Packs now from you local game store, the Sirius website or Amazon.
