So are the new Yawning Portal Treasure packs worth grabbing? Below, we head up to the bar to find out.

Each of the new Sirius Dice treasure packs includes the following which are included at random:
- One dice set: This consists of seven matching dice taken from 36 new sets. The dice range in rarity from Common, Uncommon, Rare, Super Rare and Legendary. Notably, the dice contain a variety of symbols for specific characters. and factions For example, the Threestrings of the Harpers dice set contains symbols of a lute and Harp on the highest numbers of each dice. Similarly, dice associated with Durnan (the owner of the Yawning portal) feature flagons of ale, while dice for the adventurer Volothamp Geddarm feature a travel journal icon.
- An embroidered dice bag: The bags contain the symbols of some of Waterdeep’s most notably factions, such as the Harpers, Zhentarim, Bregan D’aerthe and the Lords Alliance. In total there are eight different symbols/colors available.
- A Waterdeep-inspired coin: These are made from metal and other materials and are recreations of the currency used in Waterdeep, as well as featuring iconic monsters and magical powers. You can also potentially find a 24 karat gold-plated Yawning Portal Coin (with only 50 available worldwide). Notably, the action coins also have in-game use during Dungeons & Dragons. For example, a DM can give out an Inspiration token or a player can use the Rage token when they activate that specific Barbarian ability.

How much are the Yawning Portal Treasure Packs?
Each Yawning Portal Treasure Pack retails for $30 USD (not including taxes, shipping and handling). This is a little pricier than we saw with the recent released Xanathar Treasure Pack which were retailing for $19.99 USD.
That being said, the amount of swag you get inside each pack is impressive and Sirius Dice definitely produces some quality accessories, so its not a bad price point all things considered.

What is the Yawning Portal?
The Yawning Portal is one of the most famous inns and taverns in Dungeons & Dragons. Located in the Forgotten Realms in the city of Waterdeep it is owned and operated by the retired adventurer Durnan. It’s name comes from the massive open well in its common room which descends into Undermountain; the legendary megadungeon created by the Mad Mage, Halaster Blackcloak. Adventurers from across Faerûn come to test their luck and seek glory and fame by descending into the depths (though many never return). The tavern itself serves as a bustling hub of gossip, mercenary work and intrigue, attracting patrons from all walks of life in the City of Splendors.

In terms of game history, the Yawning Portal first appeared the supplement Waterdeep and the North (published in 1987 for 1st edition AD&D). It was further fleshed out in Ruins of Undermountain (published in 1991 for AD&D 2nd edition) and the follow up Expedition to Undermountain (which was published in 2007 D&D 3.5 edition). The tavern also serves as the framing location for the D&D 5e adventure anthology Tales from the Yawning Portal, in which Durnan introduces classic dungeons to a new generation of players. Notably, the famous inn-tavern is also the central location in the Yawning Portal strategy board game.
