Iron Studios Lets Loose New D&D Tarrasque Statue

High-end pop culture collectible company Iron Studios has just rolled out the second product in their new Dungeons & Dragons line following their recently released Beholder statue. This time, Iron Studios is setting their sights on one of D&D’s most terrifying monsters with a new 1:10 scale Tarrasque Statue.

In addition to being part of their D&D line, the figure is also part of Iron Studios’ “Icons” line of deluxe statues, which are hand painted, made of high-end resin and feature characters and creatures from brands such as DC Comics, Game of Thrones and Jurassic Park. The Tarrasque Statue will be coming out in the summer of 2027, but you can pre-order yours now directly from Iron Studios.

What is Iron Studios’ New D&D Tarrasque Statue?

The new Tarrasque statue features the official Dungeons & Dragons license from Wizards of the Coast and is based on art and creature design taken from the 2025 Monster Manual.

The 1:10 scale figure stands 9.4 inches tall, 9.3 inches wide, and 9.5 inches deep and includes a premium finish and a built-in base depicting several burning and crumbling towers which are being destroyed as the Tarrasque rampages through a city street. The statue is constructed out of polystone (a standard material used in this kind of high-end figure) and weighs 5.51 pounds.

How much is Iron Studios’ new Tarrasque statue?

The statue retails for $399.99 USD (not including shipping and handling, both of which can be significant given the size and packaging required). Because of the high-end nature of the piece, Iron Studios does require a non-refundable deposit of $120.00 USD to secure a pre-order (although they do also offer payment plans).

Notably, this figure is a bit cheaper than the company’s Beholder statue which retails for $599.99 USD (although that particular product is significantly bigger, standing 12 inches tall and weighing almost 9 pounds).

When is Iron Studios’ Tarrasque statue coming out?

The official release date is Q2 2027 (so between April and June), at which point pre-orders will be over. It’s possible that you may also be able to find it at certain game and hobby stores, although there is only a limited number of these statues available.

Who is Iron Studios?

Iron Studios is a Brazilian company that specializes in high-end pop culture figures and statues. Founded in 2012, the studio has since produced a number of deluxe products for major IPs, including Marvel, Star Wars, Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings.

In terms of their production process, the company uses a combination of original concept art and digital assets and has a global design team that produces products that range from 1:10 scale figures to massive 1:4 scale “Legacy” replicas.

What is a Tarrasque in D&D lore?

The tarrasque is widely considered one of the most terrifying and unstoppable beings in the D&D multiverse. Described as a towering, gargantuan monstrosity resembling a cross between a dinosaur, a dragon and a kaiju, it possesses an impenetrable hide, razor-sharp claws, massive horns and a devastating appetite. In D&D lore, the tarrasque is often depicted as a primordial engine of destruction – either left over as a weapon from ancient god-wars, spawned by malevolent elemental princes or serving as an apocalyptic force of nature that reduces flourishing civilizations to barren wastes before burrowing back deep into the earth to slumber for centuries. As the only one of its kind on the Prime Material Plane, the tarrasque does not harbor complex motivations like greed or malice. Instead, it simply wakes to feed on everything in its path, and traditional D&D lore dictates that even reducing it to zero hit points is not enough to kill it permanently unless a wish spell is cast upon it while it is deeply incapacitated.

In the real world, the tarrasque first appeared in 1983’s Monster Manual II written by Gary Gygax, who drew inspiration from the Tarasque of French Provençal folklore (a legendary dragon-like beast subdued by Saint Martha). Gygax envisioned the creature as a nigh-unbeatable killing machine designed to humble overly confident high-level players. Over the decades, the creature has appeared in numerous adventures and supplements, including 1988’s The Throne of Bloodstone (where its lair is found in the Land of Orcus) and World of Krynn (which notes that the beast lurks beneath Lord Soth’s castle). An entire planet full of tarrasque’s was also featured in the 1991 supplement Spelljammer: Practical Planetology and the beast served as a catastrophic campaign-ender in the 2000 adventure The Apocalypse Stone. More recently, the legendary monster has appeared in D&D 5E and 5.5E materials, including Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden and the 2025 Monster Manual.

Final Thoughts

Iron Studios’ new tarrasque statue looks absolutely amazing. Yet the hefty price tag may be just as terrifying to many fans as facing down this legendary monster.
