“Heroes Feast: Legends of the Table” D&D Cookbook Announced

Food has always been a major part of Dungeons & Dragons, both in terms of the game’s mechanics and when it comes to players gathering around the table. In fact, over the years we’ve seen a number of popular D&D cookbooks, with recipes inspired by the game’s lore while using real world ingredients. The first official D&D cookbook was Heroes Feast in 2020, followed by Heroes’ Feast: Flavors of the Multiverse in 2023 and more recently Heroes Feast: The Deck of Many Morsels in 2024. We’ve even seen an official D&D cocktail recipe book entitled Punches & Flagons.

Now, Wizards of the Coast has announced a new official D&D cookbook entitled Heroes’ Feast: Legends of the Table, which is schedule for released in early 2026. So just what can dice loving chefs expect from this blend of monsters and morsels? Below, we dish out all the answers.

What is “Heroes Feast: Legends of the Table” about?

So far, we don’t know much about what the book will entail other than that it will focus on “legends” of the D&D multiverse; although whether this is locations, characters or magic items isn’t entirely clear).

We do know that the book is being written by the same authors as the previous Heroes Feast books. This includes Jon Peterson (who is best known as one D&D’s most prolific historians and the author of the book Game Wizards), Kyle Newman (the director of the films Fanboys and Barely Lethal and a longtime D&D contributor) and Michael Witwer (a New York Times–bestselling author and D&D historian). All three are legit D&D players and are well known among the TTRPG and fandom communities.

When is “Heroes Feast: Legends of the Table” coming out?

The book is currently slated for launch in September 2026. At that time it will be available at local game stores, book sellers and online retailers like Amazon.

How much is “Heroes Feast: Legends of the Table”?

The price of the book has not yet been confirmed, but it’s likely going to be a similar price point as Flavors of the Multiverse , which retailed for $35 USD when it came out in 2023. Notably, The Deck of Many Morsels retailed for about $15 USD when it debuted in 2024, but it was a smaller format box set that contained recipe cards.

Final Thoughts

It’s great to see the Heroes Feast books continue on, as they’ve been well received by fans over the years and are clearly a labor of love for the team working on it. It remains to be seen, however, if there’s still an appetite among fans for more D&D cuisine.

We’ll be keeping a close eye on Heroes Feast: Legends of the Table in the days ahead and will update this page with new information about the book as it becomes available.
