New Official D&D “Table of Adventure” Arrives from Game Theory

If you’re a Dungeons & Dragons player looking to swap your kitchen table for something a little fancier, then you may just be in luck. The Las Vegas based company Game Theory has recently unveiled The Table of Adventure, a high-end gaming table that uses the official D&D license and was developed in conjunction with Wizards of the Coast.

Similar to other products from companies like Wyrmwood, the Table of Adventure is designed specifically for playing TTRPGs and board games, and includes extra bells and whistles like cup holders, dice trays and even a built in Dungeon Master’s screen. Of course, you’ll need some pretty deep pockets to snag one, as a single Table of Adventure is going for several thousand dollars. If you do have the space and gold pieces, however, they’re available for pre-order now.

So is the Table of Adventure the ultimate playing surface? Pull up a chair as we dig into all the details.

What is the Dungeons & Dragons Table of Adventure?

The Table of Adventure is a new modular gaming table made specifically for Dungeons & Dragons (although it will work just as well with other TTRPGs and board games). Each table is water resistant and comes in four wood options: American Walnut, Dark Mahogany, Onyx and Natural. It also includes a magnetic rail system that allows you to easily add and remove various accessories, such as player stations and dice trays.

In addition, the table has what they refer to as a “Dungeon Master’s Stronghold” that features a built-in DM’s screen along with options for charging and running power cables if you plan on using a laptop. There’s also a central playing surface where you can lay down maps and minis, but you can customize the image with a variety of officially licensed Dungeons & Dragons art from Wizards of the Coast (most of which is taken from the new 2024 core rule books). Notably, the whole thing also folds away letting you use it as an actual dining table.

How much is the Table of Adventure?

A single D&D Table of Adventure retails for $3,899 USD (although there is currently a discount available and free shipping in the US). This price can, however, increase dramatically if you want to include additional features such as dice trays, extra storage and chairs.

When is the Table of Adventure coming out?

The Table of Adventure is currently slated to begin shipping in November 2025, although the actual delivery date may change depending on what option you’ve selected and where you’re located.

Final Thoughts

Over the past few years, TTRPG gaming tables have become a popular high-ticket item. Game Theory’s Table of Adventure, however, is the first one to have the official Dungeons & Dragons license.

You can learn more about the Table of Adventure and pre-order yours now from Game Theory.
