Along the way, they encounter legendary locations from the Forgotten Realms, including Candlekeep, the Sword Coast, and Icewind Dale, while battling deadly monsters such as mind flayers, bugbears and gelatinous cubes.

The core of the experience revolves around character progression, allowing players to choose from four different classes: Barbarian, Rogue, Wizard, and Paladin. Each class brings unique abilities and gameplay styles. Additionally, A New Quest introduces the Deck of Many Things, a powerful artifact that was also front and center in Wizards of the Coast’s 2024 supplement The Book of Many Things.
