Wizards of the Coast continues its hiring frenzy, adding yet another new employee to the Dungeons & Dragons roster. This time, the new hire is award-winning, UK-based indie TTRPG designer and editor Taylor Navarro, who has been a prolific creator for a number of popular DMsGuild products and contributed as a freelancer to publishers including Evil Hat and Ghostfire Gaming.
Navarro joins a slew of recent additions to the D&D creative team over the past few weeks, including game designers Erin Roberts, Leon Barillaro and James Haeck. Her hiring also comes at a pivotal time for the D&D brand, as the company is still reeling from the departure of veteran leads Chris Perkins and Jeremy Crawford and has yet to announce any new titles for 2026.
So just who is Taylor Navarro and what does her hiring herald for the future of D&D? Below, we dig into all the details.

Who Is Taylor Navarro?
Taylor Navarro is an award-winning Puerto Rican-British TTRPG designer, project manager and editor who was recently based in England. Navarro first began designing game material in 2021, publishing a number of D&D 5e products on DMsGuild, including contributing to the Platinum-selling Journeys Beyond the Radiant Citadel. She later contributed to Ghostfire Gaming’s The Seeker’s Guide to Enchanting Emporiums and Evil Hat Productions’ Deathmatch Island: New Horizons, in addition to being a producer for the adventure book Tales from Sina Una. During that time, Navarro also launched several self-published projects on DriveThruRPG, including Chefs de Partie and Not Yet: A Romantic Duet TTRPG.
Navarro has also been heavily involved in the convention scene in the UK and US, and has helped to usher in a number of projects to bring awareness to People of Color (POC) within the TTRPG industry and community. In 2023 Taylor was awarded the Big Bad Con POC Scholarship and in 2024 was granted the Diana Jones Emerging Designer Award,

What D&D products will Navarro be working On?
On Bluesky, Navarro wrote: “”A wizard is never late, nor is she early. She arrives precisely when she means to.” I am thrilled to let y’all know I’m joining #WotCStaff as a Game Designer for the Dungeons and Dragons team! This move starts a new chapter in my life and I am so excited to see what adventures await me
Navarro has not, however, indicated what she will be working on and Wizards of the Coast has not yet made any announcements of any new projects for 2026. Given the recent hiring ramp up, however, it’s likely we’ll get some news soon.

Final Thoughts
The addition of another young and talented TTRPG designer to Wizards of the Coast suggests that big things are in the works for the D&D brand, with a whole new generation of creatives coming from a variety of backgrounds and unique perspectives. What this new team will be working on, however, remains to be seen.
