A new line of official Dungeons & Dragons terrain has just been unveiled by Wizards of the Coast and wargaming accessory maker Archon Studio (creators of the popular Dungeons & Lasers line). The terrain is designed for use at the table with standard miniatures and comes fully pre-painted. The first set is focused on the Underdark and includes walls, ledges, a bridge and the ruins of a Drow outpost, all of which can be assembled in a variety of different ways. It will be coming out in early June, but you can pre-order it now from your local game store, Archon Studio and on Amazon.
It’s a surprising collaboration, as while there are officially licensed Dungeons & Dragons miniatures from companies like WizKids, in reent years we haven’t really seen any official D&D terrain. Below, we assemble all the details.

What’s included in the new D&D Terrain?
In a blog post on the Archon Studio website, the company notes that they’ll be releasing a complete line of official Dungeons & Dragons terrain, starting with the Underdark. Each piece of terrain will be manufactured using their PrismaCast technology, which is an advanced form of UV printing that uses high-quality HIPS plastic.
All of the sets will be pre-painted, scratch-resistant and feature a “Dock & Lock” modular system that allows pieces to be quickly and easily connected. In the blog post, Archon also notes that “as an official Dungeons & Dragons product, it is designed to match the current D&D universe and upcoming releases.” So it’s possible we’ll see set that do tie in to future official D&D products.

The first Underdark set in Archon’s new D&D terrain line includes the following pieces, which can be assembled in a variety of different ways:
- 14 × Single floor
- 4 × U-wall
- 8 × Curved wall
- 4 × Single wall
- 4 × Short wall
- 11 × Corner
- 14 × Ledge
- 8 × Ledge Inner Corner
- 1 × Bridge (25 pieces)
- 1 × Drow Ruin (28 pieces)

How much is the new D&D Terrain?
The Underdark set will retail for $139 USD (not including shipping and handling). That’s actually not a bad price point considering that the set is pre-painted, comes with a decent amount of pieces and uses the official D&D license.
When will the new D&D Terrain be available?
The first Underdark set will be released on June 9th, 2026, at which point you should be able to order in online and from local game stores that carry Archon Studio products.

Final thoughts
It’s interesting to see Wizards of the Coast working with a brand like Archon Studios to create official D&D terrain. From the initial images, the design looks great and the price point is surprisingly competitive (especially compared to more expensive terrain products like Dwarven Forge). The only limitation is that it is focused on the Underdark, although some of the pieces do look modular enough that you can repurpose them for a general dungeon environment.
It remains to be seen, however, just how well this new terrain plays at the table (we’ll try and get our hands on a set to do a complete deep dive review closer to launch). In the meantime, you can pre-order the new Underdark set now from your local game store, Archon Studio and on Amazon.
