New D&D Player’s Workbook of Epic Adventures (First Look)

Penguin Random House will soon be releasing a new book that’s being described as an “official companion” to the 2024 Player’s Handbook Entitled the Player’s Workbook of Epic Adventures, the book serves as an entry point for new players looking to create their first character, as well as including prompts for experienced players looking to better flesh out their PCs. The book is also a companion title to the Dungeon Master’s Workbook of Worldbuilding, which takes a similar approach for DMs. It’s currently slated for release in the spring of 2026, but is available for pre-order now from your local game store, book store and on Amazon.

Final Thoughts

It’s interesting to see Wizards of the Coast and Penguin Random House release something that’s not quite a rule book and not quite the typical non-fiction titles we see. Whether the book will resonate with both new and experienced D&D players, however, remains to be seen.

We’ll be keeping a close eye on this story in the days ahead and will update this page with new information as it’s made available. In the meantime, you pre-order the Player’s Workbook of Epic Adventures now from your local game store, book store and on Amazon.
