Good Smile Unveils New Baldur’s Gate 3 D&D Toys

Popular Japanese toy maker Good Smile is rolling out out a new series of collectibles based on the popular Baldur’s Gate 3 Dungeons & Dragons video game. The new toys, which are available exclusively in North America, include a high-end figure of the Mindlflayer known as the Emperor, as well as a chibi-style figure of the vampire rogue Astarion. Both items are made under an official license from Baldur’s Gate 3 and D&D and will be coming out later in 2026, although you can pre-order them now from the Good Smile US website.

So are these new D&D toys worth adding to your collection? Below, we take a closer look at what’s included.

The Emperor Mindflayer Figure

This Emperor figure comes from Good Smile’s POP UP PARADE sub-brand, which consists of highly detailed PVC figures. He is based on the mysterious mindflayer from Baldur’s Gate 3 and is fully painted and made of high end plastic. He stands about 9″ in height (for context a typical McFarlane Toys action figure is about 7″). Notably, he was sculpted by award-winning Japanese artist Hiroaki Nakanishi. The figure retails for $83.99 US (not including shipping and handling).

Nendoroid Astarion Figure

The Astarion figure comes from Good Smile’s Nendoroid sub-brand, which consists of chibi-style characters with oversized heads and smaller bodies, giving them a cute and cartoonish look. He is based on the vampire rogue Astarion from Baldur’s Gate 3 and stands about 4″ tall. He also comes with a variety of interchangeable parts, including three face plates (smirking, bloody and smiling) and a range of accessories (including his dagger Rhapsody, a cup of Blood and an “Astarion approves” sign). He also comes with a clear plastic base and plastic support arms. The figure retails for $43.99 USD (not including shipping and handling).

Who is Good Smile US?

Good Smile is a Japanese toy manufacturer best known for their Nendoroid, figma and POP UP PARADE product lines. They operate primarily as an online retailer, often selling special, limited-edition releases that may not always be available through third-party retailers. Most of their collectibles are sold on a pre-order basis, meaning fans place their orders months in advance while the figures are still in production. Good Smile also often works with other brands, creating figures from popular IPs, such as Monster Hunter and Final Fantasy.

Final Thoughts

Despite being over two years old, Baldur’s Gate 3 continues to have a major impact on both video games and Dungeons & Dragons. Astarion is even appearing in an upcoming D&D supplement entitled Astarion’s Book of Hungers. The that we’re also seeing products like the figures from Good Smile also suggests that the game’s popularity isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

If you’re interested in snagging either one of these bad boys, you can pre-order them now from the Good Smile US website.
