Destiny 2 Dungeons & Dragons Content Now Available

Video game studio Bungie has recently announced that their popular first person shooter Destiny 2 now includes a crossover with Dungeons & Dragons. The collaboration (which was released on June 4th) will feature a variety of new cosmetic upgrades inspired by the popular tabletop roleplaying game.

It also comes hot on the heels of major initiatives for both brands, with Bungie launching a new expansion expansion for Destiny 2, and Wizards of the Coast ringing in the 50th anniversary of D&D and prepping for the launch of new 2024 Core Rule Books.

So just what new loot can fans of both Destiny and D&D expect to find in this latest pop culture mashup? Below, we break out all the details.

What’s included in the Destiny 2 D&D collaboration?

The Destiny 2 D&D crossover will introduce a new set of downloadable skins for existing classes and vehicles known as “the Adventurer’s Pack Bundle.” This includes:

  • Titans will be able to access Gold Dragon-themed Apex Draconic set
  • Warlocks can utilize a new Mindflayer skin
  • Hunters will be able to access the Spectral Displacer set (which is based on the Displacer beast)
  • All classes of Guardians can also equip the Bigby’s Fist finisher and the Natural 20 emote (which rolls a 20-sided die)
  • New vehicle skins, including a Queen of Dragons ship, Owlbear Chariot and Eye Tyrant Ghost shell

All of these items available in Destiny 2’s Eververse store, with the expected cost to be around 2000 silvers (or around $19.99 USD). Bungie is also offering a Eye Tyrant Behold Ghost Shell vinyl figure, which will likely be available online sometime soon.

What else is new with Destiny 2?

Although it was first released in 2017, Destiny 2 maintains a fairly solid fan base, having released an extensive line of focused chapters and expansion. Their most recent is release is entitled “The Final Shape” and brings an end to the War of Light and Darkness, along with introducing a new advanced subclass, a new destination and a new campaign.

Dungeons & Dragons also isn’t the first major brand that has been featured in Destiny 2. In fact, over the years Bungie has developed content for other properties, including The Witcher, Mass Effect, The Last of Us, God of War and Fortnite. The goal of course is to tap into these existing fanbases to expand Destiny 2’s user base.

Final Thoughts

If you’re a fan of Destiny 2, chances are you’ll dig the new Dungeons & Dragons expansion. And if you’re a D&D fan who has never played Bungie’s looter shooter, now might be the perfect time to give it a go (notably, the base game is completely free to download).

Notably, the crossover also comes hot on the heels of another recent video game collaboration between D&D and Dead by Deadlight, with the horror survival title offering a new chapter featuring the arch-lich Vecna.

Cameron Nichols is a Senior Editor who lives in Boston, Massachusetts, and has been playing D&D since the early 90s, when he was introduced by his older brother and cut his teeth on AD&D 2nd Edition. Since then he’s played virtually every RPG he could get his nerdy little mitts on (including a weird Goth phase in the early 2000s when he rocked Vampire: The Masquerade pretty hard). His favorite D&D campaign setting is the Forgotten Realms and his favorite character to play was a Half-Orc Barbarian named Grug (who was unfortunately devoured by a gelatinous cube).
